8 grandchildren. They all live within 20 minutes, More…so see them every week. Love it!
One of my grandchildren, then 6 years old, was diagnosed in 2016 with leukemia. She was cancer free 5 months later. We got a 4 month reprieve before it came back. Now it's 2017 and she just had a bone marrow transplant. So far, so good. But it has been a long, hard road.

Comments:

I graduated from Brigham Young University, but stayed home to raise my children. Once my youngest was 8, I went back to work part time. I worked in the Counseling Office at a junior high school. Now I'm full time at an alternative high school. Such a joy and challenge to work with these students who have had a hard life and not much success so far.

My three "strange" claims to fame:
1. I used to shovel coal for a living at Utah Power and Light
2. I was on The Price is Right
3. I was in the Guinness Book of World Records for treading water - 32 hours.

School Story:

I used to love the bonfires we had before the BIG football game each year. And I loved being on the powder puff football team my junior and senior years! Mr. Rodriquez was an amazing English teacher, and I still use most of what he taught me everyday: grammar and understanding the English language.

We got to see the school grow. We started with 2 wings; the office and library were in classrooms. Our football games were day games because we didn't have any lights on the football field. Each year, the graduating class got to paint their names on the quad. Our senior trip was to fly to Disneyland and be there all night. The girls had to wear dresses!

Okay. That's not fair. You look about the same as high school. You're suppose to at least make it a little hard to recognize you after 44 years!
