Hiram "Sugar Bear" Wendell Brownridge passed away Thursday June 16, at the age of 64, at his home in Reno, Nevada. He was born April 15, 1952, to Ulysses Sr. and Elizabeth Brownridge in Waycross, GA.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; mother, Elizabeth; brother, Ulysses Jr.; sisters, Avis, Janet and Daphne; children, Jason, Lena and Vicente; and his nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His father, Ulysses Sr., preceded him in death.
Hiram graduated from Fairfield High School in 1971. He had natural musical and artistic talents. Hiram spent many years as a truck driver. He was a kind, hardworking man with a loud and contagious laugh.
A celebration of Hiram's life will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, June 30, at Second Baptist Church, 1265 Montello Street, Reno, Nevada.

As I continue to click on the "In Memory" status I almost hold my breath. I just wanted to add that Hiram was one of my all time favorite people in High School. He was always positive and could make me laugh so hard. I always enjoyed his company. He had not prejudice and treated everyone equally. Just an all around great human being.

I haven't seen or had any contact wth Hiram ( Sugarbare) since Highschool, but apparently the kind soul and loud contagious laugh followed him through his life because that's exactly how I remember him.
