James Alfonso Davis

Aug. 26, 1953 — Oct. 18, 2020

James Alfonso Davis born Aug. 26, 1953, to James and Antoinette M. Davis.

He grew up in Fairfield and attended Fairfield High School and graduated Class of 1971.

James joined the U.S. Navy in 1972 and served as an electrician on the U.S.S. Canopus (AS-34) sub-tender, aircraft carrier U.S.S. Hancock  in Holy Lock, Scotland, from 1972-1975.

James married Judith Hammond in 1977 and moved to Placer County.

He then spent decades caring for his parents and their rentals.

He was a jack of all trades. He left a mark on every life he crossed.

James is survived by his two daughters, Jenelle and Jillian; five grandchildren, Madalyn, Gunnar, Jordyn, James and Jaclyn; he also leaves behind two sisters, Julie and Jeannie.

A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020, at James’s residence, RSVP by text to Jillian at 916-910-3022.
