Survived By: Survivors include his wife, Mary Romano; his daughter, Rosina (Vijay) of Cheverly, MD; his siblings, Michael (Edita), Rodney, Valerie, Colleen, Jamie, and Darren; his sisters-in-law, Peggy (Santo), Patricia (Darryl), and Marion; his nephews, James, Christopher (Kate), Christian, Robbie, and Matthew; his nieces, Melodie, Amy, Jenifer (Drew), Stephanie (John), Jillian (Tom), and Samantha; and three great-nephews, Kyle, Brenden, and Chance. He was preceded in death by his parents, Florentino and Betty Romano and his sisters-in-law, Karen and Gail.

LTC William R. Romano, US Army, retired died Thursday, February 10, 2022. Born in Honolulu, HI, he was a graduate of the University of San Francisco and entered the US Army in June 1975, following his father into service. He served many duty stations including Fort Monroe and it was his love of the fort which brought him back here upon retirement. He was an avid traveler, adventurous eater, and long-winded storyteller. Once retired, he followed his passion for military history as a volunteer tour guide at the Casemate Museum.
