dave was a neighbor of mine, well in the the same neighborhood and we swam on the fairfield swim team together with his sister kathy. we had good times growing up as kids and i hope that he's finally at rest. i'm so glad i had a chance to see him at the last reunion.

WOW....I have known Dave for at least 50 years....He was actually a classmate of my sister Chris....I  think the last time I spoke with him he was still working for the Diamond National Lumber Yard in Fairfield....He was just a good guy, a class act....He will be missed by many as I know he had so many friends....

I was very saddened to read the news about Dave. He and I along with Andy Herrnandez, Calvin Winslow, Bobby Peebles, Buck DeWeese, Mike Ehle, Mike Berry and Mike Hale formed the KI Jones neighborhood gang and spent most of our time together from 2nd grade (1958) through HS graduation in 1968. We rode bicycles together down Fifth Street to New Jersey, New Hampshire, Michigan and other streets. We got our licenses and  then cruised our Road Runners, Mustangs and Chevy SS 396s from Foster's to Vacaville and back. We were so young -- "those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end." We played all types of sports together and Dave was the best athlete among us. Only the truck accident in the summer of 1966 or 67 and his injuries prevented him from being a top collegiate 3 sport star. He was a fierce competitor and very gifted.

I have communicated with Kate, his loving sister via email and shared fond memories of him and our families. I spoke with Dave for a long time at the last class reunion and it was great to hear his voice and see his smile again. I know that everyone that knew Dave  knew him as a great friend. He left us way too early.
