In Memory

Cathy Hendrixson (Worsham) - Class Of 1969

Cathy Hendrixson (Worsham)

Cathy was born at Camp Pendleton, California, to a military family. She was the oldest of three children to loving parents Harry and Catherine Hendrixson.

In 1988, she married Bill Worsham before he left for Korea on an Air Force duty assignment. They were married for 26 joyous years before her passing.

Cathy was a determined woman with a giving heart of gold that brought so much love and joy to the whole family. She enjoyed history, reading, family genealogy research, gardening, camping, and she loved traveling to California's wine country. She loved the Lord, kept daily devotions and prayer, and was active at St. Luke's Lutheran Church where she willingly dedicated her time to the faith education of the young children. She was a natural caregiver and took fastidious loving care of her family and friends. Full of dedicated work ethic, she was always ready to give her time in volunteer work for the benefit of others.

The Lord took her too soon but she is watching over us from above. Her memory lives on and we celebrate her life and memory. We will all be together again someday and we will glorify the Lord together.

She is preceded in death by her father, Harry Hendrixson, and is survived by her husband, Bill; her mother, Catherine; her siblings, David Hendrixson and Rhea Hendrixson; her children, Bradley Baker and Lisa Worsham; and her grandchildren, Olivia and Delia Baker.

Funeral services will be a Celebration of Life and are scheduled for May 8, 2014 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 5265 N. Union Blvd, Colorado Springs, Colorado. The service will begin at 3pm.

Rest in Peace, Cathy - Loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Dear Friend, and faithful Servant of The Lord.

Dearest Hendrixson Worsham Family, and friends,

My prayers of love, strength and blessing go to you today.. when i heard Cathy is in a better place. My last birthday message was interesting when i called her queen for a day!  She definitely is a princess in the Kingdom of God, and a Queen in her mansion. She works peacefully, where she is, in fellowship, working in her garden..and worshiping with the holy angels and all the saints.  We all will miss her sweet spirit.

To describe you, Cathy is an easy blessing...You are loving, joyful, peacful, kind, gentle, and faithful and one with selfcontrol, you have been accepted on earth as in heaven. You see, everyone, she had all the virtures of a holy saint in the Lord. A woman, wife, mother and friend filled with the Fruit of the Spirit, of Our Living God, our Savior.

While we are here, let us follow your example, to serve with love and joy. We will be occupied at doing the Lords work as you did.. and we will see you, soon.. I know why, you didnt come back, it is total peace and Joy, where you are worshiping Jesus.  ..even the created flowers sing of Gods Holiness. You never get tired, so there is no sleep. You get to see the Glorious light eminating from Gods purity, so there is no need for a sun! There is a rainbow light around Gods throne. The crystal river comes from Gods throne! A sight to reflect, to behold forevermore as stated in (Rev. 21& 22; Eph.1-2).

There have been some that have come back to earth, to work on changing character prejudices like unforgiveness, and have a specific mission, to teach all Gods people, such as Betty Maltz, and Angelica Zambrano.

In everything, there is a season and a time for everything under heaven. We are better servants because of your faithfulness, Cathy. Now your joy is full and there are no tears.  We must persevere and we will be busy with the Lords work so He will say, "Come good and faithful servant into my kingdom." We miss you yet we will see you again...

 In Jesus' tender love,

Rosanna Burke
