David Mogel - Class Of 1968

David Phillip Mogel, 64 of Caldwell passed away Tuesday April 7,2015 at a local hospital. He was married to the former Sherry Workman, of Melba,Idaho. They were married for more than forty three years. I was fortunate enough to be an usher at their wedding. Another Fairfield High classmate, Roy Smith was the best man. David and Sherry had two sons that were outstanding wrestlers in high school. It was told to me that they were Idaho state champions. Dave went back to school after getting married and studied accounting. The last twenty or so years were spent dealing with intense back pain and heart problems. I was told that heart complications was the cause of his death. The last couple years of high school and the first couple after, Dave and I, along with Charlie McCormack and a few others had several fun adventures together. Even though I had not seen him for years, he will be missed by me,and I'm sure many others.

So sorry to hear about Dave. I recall a close friendship with Dave the last couple of years of high school and for a brief period when we worked at our first real job after high school at Mare Island.
