Raymond Ramos

June 9, 1952 - April 10, 2013

Raymond "Ray" Ramos passed away Wednesday, April 10, surrounded by his loving family.
Ray was born June 9, 1952, in Okaloosa County, Florida (Eglin AFB), to Simon and Hilda Ramos.
Ray attended Marysville High School and graduated from Fairfield High School in 1970. He completed his bachelor's degree at Sacramento State University. Ray was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1979. He retired from the Solano County Probation Department after 25 years of service.
Ray was an amazing cook, an avid outdoorsman, and an enthusiastic sports' fan. The San Francisco 49ers and Giants have lost a loyal fan. Most of all, his greatest passion in life were his kids.
Ray is survived by his parents, Simon and Hilda Ramos; Yvette, his wife of 23 years, and their children, Nicholas and Natalie; his children, Angela (Robert), Christopher (Tanisha), and Jason (Monica). He is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth (Larry); two brothers, Simon (Janise) and Charles (Susan); six grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial for Raymond Ramos will be held Wednesday, April 24, at 1 p.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 350 Stinson Ave, Vacaville. Father Humberto Gomez will officiate. Following the service Ray will be laid to rest at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon.
The Raymond Ramos Memorial account has been established at Travis Credit Union for his minor children.

Casey Coppock (1971)

I am saddened to hear of Rays passsing....He was such a good person....We would cross paths frequently when I was on the Police Department and he was with probation....usually discussing one of his cases.....Rest in Peace old friend...
